Why are musician prices bespoke for weddings?
Quotations are based on your requirements which could range from 30 minutes of live performance during the ceremony - or also include several sets for the Champagne Drinks, Wedding Breakfast and the First Dance.

• If the venue is over a 90 minutes drive away and late finish may require overnight accommodation. A midnight music finish will mean not leaving the venue until 1.30am if you book the Wedding Singer and DJ package.

• Different size PA systems are required for large rooms and marquees. Two PA systems may be needed to cover different locations at your wedding. If you rented a complete PA system it would cost £250 to £1000 depending on if 1000 or 5000 watts of sound power is required.

• It may be required for the musician to meet you at the venue before the wedding and plan where to set up, assist and advise you on choosing the schedule times and music. Quite often 10 to 20 emails are exchanged planning the wedding music.

• 1 to 2 hours are usually spent creating requested playlists for the DJ music. New songs are often requested to be learned for the wedding which can take on average 5 to 10 hours of practice over the course of 4 weeks to master before the wedding day.

• Friday and Saturdays are prime time for professional musicians who are in high demand from hotels, corporate events, private parties, etc. These events are less time consuming and a musician can usually arrive at 6.30pm and be on the way home at 10.30pm - and command a fee of £600. A full day wedding singer and DJ package

• You should be choosing a full-time 'professional' high quality musician for your special day. A professional who practices regularly and always sounds great. A pianist makes a great performance look easy due to hundreds of hours of practice. A good singer does the same.

• You should be booking a musician who has people skills, is presentable, can work an audience when needed, is flexible - and comes prepared for any challenge and can adapt to unexpected changes on your wedding day.

• There are many other reasons that professional entertainment prices for weddings are bespoke. It is important to be 100% confident that you book professional wedding entertainment that makes your special day sway with class and elegance.
